5 Things: Willett Library, Warming Centers & Girl Scout Cookies

Five things to know for Jan. 24.

 

1.  After an extensive renovation and expansion project, the Willett Free Library finally reopened this month. Stop by its open house on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and take the tour!

2.  In case you didn't notice, it's pretty darn cold out this week. Here are some tips on how to stay warm and locations/hours of local warming centers.

3.  Are you trying to sell Girl Scout cookies this season? Use Patch to help get the word out! Add an announcement about your troops endeavors here! If you're holding a cookie sale event or holding court outside of a local business to sell, create an event here! 

4.  The NKHS Class of 2015 is still looking for teams for its Cupcake War, coming up on Feb. 15. Groups of contestants will bake themed cupcakes and have them judged on various criteria. Learn more here!

5.  Today: sunny with highs near 23, wind chills as low as -4. Tonight: clear with lows around 6, wind chills as low as -3. Tomorrow: partly sunny with highs near 25.
