5 Things: Town Council, Budgets & What's That Book Worth?

Five things to know for Jan. 14.

 

1. The North Kingstown Town Council meets for the first time in the new year on tonight at 7 p.m. at Beechwood Senior Center. Check the agenda here.

2.  On Tuesday, the North Kingstown School Committee meets at 7 p.m. at North Kingstown High School. The superintendent will present his recommended budget for the upcoming year.

3.  "What's That Book Worth?" is back! Head over to the North Kingstown Free Library on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as rare book dealer Ray Rickman offers his thoughts and insights in this interactive "Antiques Roadshow" style program. Bring two books for a free evaluation. Please register for this event.

5.  Today: a chance of showers in the morning with otherwise cloudy skies with highs near 52. Tonight: a slight chance of showers with lows around 31. Tomorrow: mostly cloudy with highs near 43.

Well, it looks from other media sources that Dolan and company are going to waste more taxpayer money on Kinder and appealing the court ruling on "unringing the bell" tonight. Why don't they just buy Powerball tickets, about the same odds.
