1.  As you are probably (and hopefully) aware, we're getting a sizable winter storm today. Check here for updates throughout the blizzard . Post any tips, cancellations or storm-related info in the comments of that article or email me at samantha.turner@patch.com .

2.  A parking ban is in effect throughout town, starting at noon today. Officials are asking everyone to get off the roads by noon before the worst of the storm hits us.

3.  Tonight's program at the North Kingstown Free Library –   the Mixed Magic Theatre's production "Fate Comes Knocking" – has been cancelled due to the blizzard.

4.  Since I can't be everywhere (and I definitely won't be driving around in snowpocalypse) I'm looking for some weather watchers around town. If you're interested, I'll be putting up a photo gallery later today where you can add photos and comments about what you see/what's happening in your area. If you have a tip, email me!

5.  Today: snow starting around 7 a.m. with highs near 35. Tonight: snow, heavy at times with lows around 20, windy. Tomorrow: snow before 2 p.m. with highs near 23.
