Route 2/102 Intersection Visioning Public Workshops
North Kingstown - The Town of North Kingstown is seeking to establish a future land use vision for the western intersection of Routes 2 and 102, in the vicinity of the Rolling Greens Golf Course, the Corner Tavern and Oatley’s Restaurant. The Town has been working with a broad based stakeholder group in Town to establish this vision for how development should look and occur at this critical intersection.
The group wants to hear input from you, our residents, business owners, and other interested parties. Please come and attend a public workshop to give us your input. We will be holding two workshops: one on October 4 and another on October 15, 2012. Both will be held at 7 p.m. at the Wickford Middle School. These workshops will be interactive, and will build upon each other.
Information and ideas collected from you at the first meeting will direct the products and plans that are presented at the second meeting. We will also be creating an online survey for all those people that are unable to attend the public workshops. The survey will be available on the project website and at www.northkingstown.org.
In addition, on Oct. 10, 2012 at 7 p.m., we will have a “neighborhood focus group” at the Masonic Lodge located at 1515 Ten Rod Road adjacent to the Rolling Greens Golf Course. This will be an informal opportunity for residents who live nearby to share their thoughts, concerns and hopes for the future of the area.
All of the information presented to the stakeholder group is available for public review on the project webpage at http://www.northkingstown.org/visioning-process-routes-2-and-102
