NK Girl Scouts Win 'We Are Proud of You' Award
Congratulations to the Girl Scouts of North Kingstown, who won this year's "We Are Proud of You" award.
The 2012 North Kingstown Spirit Day's "We Are Proud of You" award focused on organizations devoted to helping others – including animals. Locals cast their votes for the award at Saturday's event, which drew several hundred people to the high school for a fun-filled day of activities.
The Girl Scouts beat out Slocum Grange, which came in second; Horse Play, which came in third; and the Friends of the North Kingstown Animal Shelter, which came in fourth.
