Girl Scouts of North Kingstown and Jamestown
Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts in the United States, started her first troop in Savannah, GA on March 12, 1912 and this year marks the 100th anniversary of Scouting. To conclude the 100th anniversary year-long celebration, last week on November 4th, troops from North Kingstown/ Jamestown participated in a founder’s day ceremony. New flags were dedicated to the NK/J unit and troops presented time capsules to be opened in ten years. To top it off birthday cupcakes were decorated to honor Juliette Low’s birthday of October 31st!
